Artificial Intelligence Neural Networks Abstract
By Eran Kahana
I recently presented a paper at Stanford Law School that examines IP infringement by AI. I opened my presentation by inviting my audience to sit back and indulge in some science fiction fantasy. Let’s also do that (just for a moment) here as well and fast forward to the year 2023.
We see a giant, dark auditorium. A stealthy hover camera and thousands of people applaud the entry of their TED talk speaker, Peter Weyland. We listen to him eloquently scanning tech tools and developments over the millennia. From fire, (courtesy of the titan Prometheus), he smoothly roams through the centuries, highlighting the stone tools, the wheel, gun powder, the light-bulb, and all the way to nanotech, fusion, m-theory and the creation of cybernetic individuals that are indistinguishable from humans. The crowd is silent. Pausing for dramatic effect, Weyland proclaims “we are the Gods now.” Armed with what he describes as his unlimited ambition and refusal to fail, he concludes by informing the audience that he is poised to “change the world”.
Yes, this viral YouTube video was a clever promo for the Ridley Scott “Prometheus”. But it was also reminiscent of one of my all-time favorite Steve Jobs quotes: “The ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” It’s the "Weylands" of the future that will create AI that is indistinguishable and vastly more intelligent than humans (see also my post). No one can stop this.

That is a misunderstanding of Biblical prophecy
the antichrist will not have a 7 year reign, this is commonly referred to as the 'seven years of tribulation'. find that phrase for me in the Bible- it doesnt exist.
it is a misunderstanding of the 70 weeks prophecy located in Daniel 9:24-27. the Jews have placed a talmudic curse on anyone that attempts to calculate the numbers give in these verses because it proves that Jesus was the Messiah. It proves the date He would come, how long His ministry would last, and that He would be crucified 3 and 1/2 years into His ministry.
today, prevalent in theology (read that, Jesuit theology-- which has slithered its way into protestant seminaries ((preterism/futurism))) has come up with the idea that the last 'week' (7 days, or,...

Someone here might gain something from it. It is true.
For the past week I have had prolonged bouts of crying. I have not been able to sleep or eat and didnt answer the phone. What would cause this? Death in the family? Losing the house? Cancer diagnosis? Not at all.
My depression has been over the stock market. Not over how much money I've lost, but rather how much money I would have made had I not sold my stock. I invested 50% of our money into it so we're not talking chump change. It would have been enough to buy a house, more as it continues to climb.
Now I am not normally an emotional person. Prior to investing in the markets, I maybe would cry 1-2 times a year and always for a reason. I have a good life with no money worries, loving husband, my health, etc. but I...

Good afternoon. Let me begin by saying that although this has been billed as an anti-war rally, I stand before you as someone who is not opposed to war in all circumstances.
The Civil War was one of the bloodiest in history, and yet it was only through the crucible of the sword, the sacrifice of multitudes, that we could begin to perfect this union, and drive the scourge of slavery from our soil. I dont oppose all wars.
My grandfather signed up for a war the day after Pearl Harbor was bombed, fought in Pattons army. He saw the dead and dying across the fields of Europe; he heard the stories of fellow troops who first entered Auschwitz and Treblinka. He fought in the name of a larger freedom, part of that arsenal of...
