Forex trading currency market tip news
Euro is edging higher right now in forex trading on the currency market, even as uncertainties about Europe and the eurozone are raised by the results of elections this past weekend. It's been a bit of a wild ride, but here are the results of elections in the eurozone this past weekend:
- In France, Francois Hollande beat Nicolas Sarkozy. Hollande is against austerity, and his relationship with Germany is likely to be strained as the eurozone moves forward, trying to figure out how to stimulate growth while containing sovereign debt contagion.
- In Greece, pro-bailout parties that agreed to austerity measures have been outvoted. Non-mainstream parties against the austerity measures have been voted more seats, and Greece's further involvement in the eurozone is in doubt.
