Design and Research of Solar Wireless Data Acquisition System
Artificial neural networks:

Hydrological monitoring has a very important effect in industrial and agricultural production. It provides a lot of data for the water sector, and plays an important role on Flood and Drought Control. Most of the hydrological monitoring system use wire power supply and dial-up means to achieve the water level data acquisition. The water level monitoring points distribute in a wide range of field, and many of the monitoring points do not meet the conditions of laying power lines. Therefore, we urgent need a new remote data acquisition system which needn’t to lay power lines, has fast and reliable transmission. The solar wireless data acquisition system designed in the paper is a kind of remote data acquisition system which uses solar cells as energy, and uses GPRS technology as the transmission way. The system does not need to lay the electricity lines and network lines, so it is easy extended. As using of the GPRS as a data transmission method, the system has the feature of high rate and reliable transmission. After reading a large number of domestic and foreign literatures, the paper introduces the present status and development tendency of remote data acquisition technology. Taking into account of the advantage of solar power technology and GPRS technology in data collection field, this paper presents a new solar wireless data acquisition system design idea. This system uses solar cell as the power supply, and uses GPRS technology as the way of data transmission. For the purpose of monitoring the water level, the paper analyzes the system’s functional requirements in detail. After understanding the theory of GPRS data transmission, the paper compares four kinds of network construction, and chooses the best one. Using “module + integrated” design approach, the data acquisition terminal is divided into three parts. There are solar-powered module, wireless communication module and data acquisition module. We design and debug each module individually. After studying the electrical characteristics of lead-acid batteries and their life influence factors, the paper analyzes a variety of common charging circuit. Combined the feature of solar cell and application requirements, we design a solar-powered circuit which has minimal influence on battery life. In understanding the GPRS data communication process, the paper reduces of the PPP protocol and designs a reliable UDP protocol. We program the related software for data transmission. The data acquisition module uses high-performance ARM processor as the core. It has Gray code signal and analog signal acquisition capabilities, and provides a simple man-machine interface. Finally, the paper analyzes the system’s debug data, and applies the system to water level monitoring system. From the operation data, the system is designed reasonable, and meets the actual application needs.

Basal metabolic rate

2012-01-24 22:58:21 by wounsel

So, on my century ride the other day, I ate a bunch of food to keep pedaling. I noticed that one of the guys on the ride who rode last time didn't seem to eat much. -- He's a vegan. When I asked him what he was going to eat for this ride he told me he had eaten cherries for breakfast, and he would eat some peanuts and some dried berries that he had in his jersey. WTF
What I'm wondering is how this guy can pedal a fixie 100 miles on solely nuts + berries + cherries + some water. It took me 2 oatmeal packs, 1 egg, on egg burrito from mcdonalds (a rest stop on the way), 4 clif bars, 2 granola bars, ~12 pieces of pizza @ cici's, salad & pasta @ cici's.... and when I got home, I was starving. -- one online calculator estimated about 3,900 calorie burn on top of whatever my basal...

Accounting Career

Hey, i'm 25 and i'm giving up on the whole i wanna b a dj thing i was thinking, LOL. I am deciding i wanna grow up and stop partying and have a career. i know it's a bit late but whatever. I am thinking about going back to school and i think i'd like to major in accounting. now i'm not good with math, but i don't mind adding lots of number, using a calculator all day and doing paperwork. so i'm thinking of getting an associates and then seeing if i can get a job as a accounting clerk and then go to school for my bachelors while i continue working. which would be 2 more years for my bachelors right?. now does anyone think that this is a good idea? i know that not everyone who's in accounting do it because they love it. since i'm not that good at math, should i still do it? i know during...
