Hedge fund Avenue Capital Group is in talks to hire U.S. proprietary traders from Goldman Sachs Group Inc, Bloomberg reported on Monday, citing two people briefed on the discussions.

The reported talks are the latest efforts by traders to shop themselves around in the wake of a U.S. financial reform law that will essentially ban proprietary trading at U.S. banks.
